He’s coming back! Supanova Expo is ever so excited to announce the return of the world famous, David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff, to Australia for Supanova’s April tour of Melbourne (April 13 & 14) and the Gold Coast (April 20 & 21). The star of Baywatch, Knight Rider and countless TV specials, is a veritable small-screen institution and clearly loves being downunder having only recently finished ‘An Evening with the Hoff’ tour. In recent years, his popularity has grown with Generation Y audiences due to his reputation as an Internet meme (or viral online superstar) known simply as ‘The Hoff’. The Hoff incarnates in many forms; whether you know him as the driver of K.I.T.T. the intelligent crime-solving car, or jogging along the beach in his tiny red Speedos with Pamela Anderson, or flaunting those cheeky bedroom eyes on the cover of one of his may solo CDs, David Hasselhoff is a ubiquitous pop-culture icon. A testament to the power of persistence, Baywatch was cancelled after its first season but was later resuscitated by its star, Hasselhoff, and went on to become one of the world’s most watched TV shows over ten more seasons (as noted by the Guinness Book of World Records). As an investor and executive producer, Hasselhoff receives royalties from the re-runs. Recently he has appeared as himself in cult movies referencing his celebrity, and judged talent shows such as Dancing With the Stars, America’s Got Talent, and Britain’s Got Talent.
